Update 10/17/24: The fight continues!

Hannah is still fighting! Right now the focus of her care team is fighting the remaining cancer in her lungs. While we are hopeful that chemo continues to shrink the tumors, it unfortunately is not a cure. At this point Hannah’s best option is to participate in a clinical study at the National Cancer Institute in Maryland. They have been in communication with her and would like to have her fly out for a formal interview to determine if she would be a good candidate for immunotherapy. This treatment would take cells from her tumor and turn them into cancer fighting cells. Because this trial is through the National Cancer Institute they have Federal Funding that will cover treatments if she would be accepted, which is our hope! Travel to the initial interview and all other related expenses however are expected to be paid for by Hannah out of pocket. We would like to alleviate the stress / financial burden and kindly ask for donations so that she and her mom, Jane can fly out to this initial interview. Family and friends we are asking for prayers and financial support for Hannah during this difficult time. Since being diagnosed in June, Hannah has had to uproot her life in Alaska to come for cancer treatment in Minnesota. This not only means time away from her husband but also her job.
