Help Evacuate my Surviving Family from Gaza

Hi, my name is Faris, and I am starting a fundraiser to save my family. At this time, over 30,000 Palestinians have been killed, and I have lost more than a hundred relatives that I know of, with many still missing. With great struggle, I turn to this fundraiser as a final resort to attempt to get as many members of my surviving family out as possible.

This fundraiser is in an effort to cover the cost of the evacuation fees at the border between Gaza and Egypt. The fees are in the range of $5,000 right now, and each of my relatives pictured are who I am trying to evacuate. My three uncles, my two aunts, their children, and my grandmother. Each of them had their lives robbed with the siege on Gaza, and they need all the support they can get.

Prior to the war, my family prided itself on serving the community. In this picture are people who worked as healthcare workers in hospitals, educators in schools and universities, and community leaders. After the airstrikes began in October, their workplaces and livelihoods were destroyed, their colleagues were displaced and killed, and they were forced to leave their home in Jabalia (now destroyed, pictured in the cover photo) and try to stay close together to look after my grandmother, whose health only worsens with her current heart and bone problems. Last week, an airstrike woke them up from their sleep, destroying part of the building they are staying in. My cousins and aunt had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries. This condition is only worsened by the blockade preventing aid from entering Gaza.

I cannot watch my family starve. I cannot continue to conclude these phone calls to them questioning if that would be the last time I hear their voices. I cannot not try to raise funds, so I am asking you to spare whatever you can, for them. They need it now more than ever, and anything helps.
