If you're seeing this you probably already know me, but if you don't, heres some info about me and my not only gender affirming, but most importantly.... life affirming surgery that will take place on March 12th.

I'm getting a radical reduction. Essentially this is starting to be referred to as non-binary top surgery, most of my breast tissue will be removed and ideally I will be left with just the essence of breast. My ideal is to be around an A cup.

This surgery is something I have wanted since I was about 12 years old which is wild for me to even think about. My breasts have always been a main source of my depression, discomfort, anger, and dysphoria for as long as I've had them. It's taken my lifetime to finally be able to put my fear aside and take hold of this possibility and make it my reality. I'm very lucky to be having this surgery covered by medicaid and I have a beautiful support system made up of my partner, sister, chosen family and friends that will surely help alleviate stressors along the way.

That being said, I work in fast paced bars and nightlife so ideally I will be needing to take 6-8 weeks off of work to heal safely and properly. I want to be able to give myself that space and not have to worry about money or push myself.

This healing and recovery fund will go toward bills, groceries, and post-op care.
