Mekisha Carpenter Tornado Funds

Mekisha and I became friends years ago when we were neighbors in small town, Claremore, Oklahoma... She was always there for me, even at my worst times when I didn't deserve the help. Now it is my turn to step in and help her. Recently, Mekisha and her family purchased their new home in Rowlett, Texas. As they were finally getting settled into their new place, a tornado came through and they have lost everything. Obviously homeowners insurance will cover the majority of it.  However, the deductible for their home, and two vehicles will cost $5,000.... They are in need of new clothes for their children, and we all know how long insurance can take. After the holidays, and purchasing their new home, they could use some help. All funds will be used to help pay deductibles, new clothing, and things that they need immediately. Insurance will eventually get the rest, but they need money now to help get the process going.  Any money that is left over, Mekisha has stated will be paid forward to the community to help other families in need. Some have asked if this count is legit, I can assure you it is.... and the bank account linked to it, is Mekisha's. It is direct deposit to her only, I have no control of it. I only set this up to help her and her family out while they are dealing with this mess. I didn't want her to have to deal with extra stress. Please donate what you can to help them get back on their feet. I couldn't imagine losing my home in general, but losing it right after Christmas is even worse. They are at a loss for words and are going through a lot, anything helps.
