Urgently raising funds for Loki's surgeries

Heyy, my name is vits and I am raising funds for my dog Loki, who is the cutest 5-year-old german shepherd and labrador cross. The funds will go towards urgent unforeseen surgeries :(

On the 7th of Dec Loki ran at our inside front door (semi-glass) when he heard the postman (as he usually does), but this time he broke through the glass. This caused him to rip an artery on his front left leg on the bottom, near his paw, and slicing open that whole leg. He had massive amounts of blood loss, and the skin on the bigger cut was hanging off causing great amounts of discomfort.

After taking him to an urgent vet hospital, we were made aware that he would need surgery. The surgeons explained that both wounds would be cleaned and stitched up, as long as they don't find anything else whilst he was under anesthetics. The surgery was done on the morning of the 8th of Dec, where they managed to control some bleeding on the smaller wound and stitch it up.

After surgery, I got a call from the surgeons to let me know that the case has gotten a lot more complicated than expected. The examinations showed more muscles torn on the bigger wound which meant it couldn't just be stitched up. The surgeon explained that he would need to be seen by a Tissue Specialist who will see whether there is enough chance for tissue regrowth and whether stitching it up would be possible or if the surrounding tissues need to be removed before finding an alternative solution.

These procedures have incurred huge amounts of unforeseen costs that are just not affordable for me, which is why I am reaching out for help as a last resort. As you can imagine, I just want him to get well and come home - he is my entire life

I have put a breakdown of costs (below) so far but I am expecting further costs closer to recovery.

First Surgery payable before second surgery - £2924.19

Second Surgery - £2000

Bandage changes for 2 weeks - £400

Total so far before further check-ups: £5324.19
