Hi everyone, I'm Graham and we’re asking for help for our sweet and silly dodo, Theo.
Theo is our 5-year-old purebred Pitty, and he is deeply loved. He’s normally sweet, affectionate, and full of personality — the kind of dog who brings comfort just by being close. Anyone who knows Theo knows how special he is.
Over the past few days, Theo has been vomiting severely and struggling to keep food down, and seeing him this sick has been heartbreaking and frightening.
We went to the vet yesterday for a urine test, and the results confirmed that Theo is positive for both a urinary tract infection (UTI) and Lyme disease. He has started medication, but because the vomiting has continued, the vet is very concerned about his condition and believes there may be more going on.
At this point, the veterinarian has recommended that Theo be hospitalized for urgent care, where he can be closely monitored and treated. This would allow the medical team to place him on IV fluids to stabilize him and address the ongoing vomiting and dehydration.
Unfortunately, hospitalization and emergency care like this can quickly cost thousands of dollars, especially when continuous monitoring and treatment are required.
Right now, Theo has started medications including:
• Clavaseptin to treat the infection
• Dimenhydrinate to help control the vomiting
We are doing everything we can to monitor him closely, track his symptoms, and follow the vet’s instructions. However, the cost of diagnostic tests, medications, IV treatment, and the recommended hospitalization is becoming overwhelming. We want to do everything possible to give Theo the care he urgently needs and the best chance to recover.
We never imagined we would be in this position, but Theo means the world to us and we want to do everything we can to help him get through this.
Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward:
• Vet consultations
• Additional urine testing and diagnostics
• Medications
• IV fluids
• Emergency hospital care if needed
• Follow-up treatment
If you’re not in a position to donate, sharing Theo’s story would mean the world to us. Theo is not just a dog — he is family. We just want to see him healthy, comfortable, and back to being the big suck that he is again.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for keeping Theo in your thoughts.
