Urgent-Help Treat My Pack 4 Deadly Infection

We discovered my beloved Luci has Chagas and after testing, we now know our entire pack is also infected. This is a horrific disease that results in death from destruction of heart muscle. It is similar to heartworm, except it is faster acting. I desperately need to treat the entire group for Chagas to avoid losing my entire fur-family! The thought of losing not just Luci, but Luke (my personal service dog), Pappy, Vega. Rupert, Polly, and Tucker (a service dog I have been fostering for Marigold Groot since July, 2023) is heartbreaking for me.

The cost of Chagas treatment is approximately $150/month per dog and is for an entire year. And that doesn't include the cost of necessary vet visits and blood tests to monitor the effectiveness of the medications!

While we have been successful in raising a significant amount of money, we continue to have unexpected expenses and desperately need donations! In January alone, we needed to pay for additional liver function testing and add several more expensive medications to counteract the side effects of these strong medications. So far, treatment has been successful, but as we continue, it is also expensive.

This is a huge cost that I simply cannot afford on my own. As a veteran with significant health problems, my income is extremely limited. These dogs are one of the biggest reasons I cope as well with life as I do now!

Funds will be managed by Marigold Groot and any excess monies will be donated to Helotes Humane Society, a no-kill shelter in San Antonio that has helped me in the past with accepting strays that have shown up on my doorstep.
