As the wildfires have swept across Southern California, they have destroyed homes, businesses, and lives. Not only human life, but wildlife and pets as well. In some cases, pets have been left behind and current rescue efforts are underway. Most residents who evacuated have taken their pets with them; however, many temporary shelters don't allow for pet boarding. These animals have been placed in facilities such as the Agoura Hills Animal Care Center and other local shelters.
Current living and working situations caused by the fires have also led many to surrender their pets to the shelter. With the sudden overcrowding of these shelters, they are quickly running out of resources to care for both temporary and permanent pets. I am raising money for the Agoura Hills Animal Care Center to ensure they have all the necessary supplies to care for their animals. For only $30, a dog can sleep in a bed tonight; for $15, eight rabbits can be fed; for $6, a kitten can have a toy. Please give what you can. Any amount helps.
