URGENTE: Ayúdame a salvar mi pierna y mi vida

Mi nombre es Javier Álvarez, Venezolano, tengo 43 años (C.I. V-15.669.600). Soy padre de familia y hoy estoy enfrentando la lucha más dura de mi vida.

Fui diagnosticado con Osteomielitis en la tibia, causada por Staphylococcus aureus meticilino sensible y Klebsiella pneumoniae. Esta infección es extremadamente grave: si no recibo el tratamiento completo y a tiempo, existe un alto riesgo de amputación y de que la infección pueda derivar en cáncer óseo.

El tratamiento indicado es urgente y costoso:

• Meropenem 2g I.V. cada 8 horas

• Ceftriaxona 2g I.V. cada 24 horas

• Durante 7 semanas, administrados por vía central.

Además, debo someterme a una intervención quirúrgica para colocar cemento óseo medicado, junto con:

• 25 sesiones de cámara hiperbárica

• 20 sesiones de ozonoterapia

• Protectores de hígado, corazón y riñones para resistir la fuerza de los antibióticos.

A todo esto se suma mi situación familiar crítica: mi mamá también está luchando contra un cáncer de pulmón, y los pocos recursos que tenemos han sido destinados a sus tratamientos.

Hoy no tengo cómo costear mi recuperación y mi vida depende de la solidaridad.

Cada día que pasa aumenta el riesgo de perder mi pierna y de que la infección se convierta en cáncer. Te pido que, si está en tus posibilidades, me ayudes a superar esta batalla. Tu apoyo, por pequeño que sea, es esperanzador para mí. Si no es mucho pedir, inclúyeme en tus oraciones, pues es Dios quien siempre tiene la última palabra

My name is Javier Álvarez, I am Venezuelan, 43 years old (I.D. V-15.669.600). I am a father, and today I am facing the toughest battle of my life.

I was diagnosed with osteomyelitis in the tibia, caused by methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus and Klebsiella pneumoniae. This infection is extremely serious: if I do not receive the full treatment in time, there is a very high risk of amputation and that the infection may progress into bone cancer.

The prescribed treatment is urgent and very costly:

    •    Meropenem 2g I.V. every 8 hours

    •    Ceftriaxone 2g I.V. every 24 hours

    •    For 7 weeks, administered through a central line.

In addition, I must undergo surgery to place medicated bone cement, along with:

    •    25 sessions of hyperbaric chamber therapy

    •    20 sessions of ozone therapy

    •    Liver, heart, and kidney protectors to resist the strength of the antibiotics.

On top of this, my family situation is critical: my mother is also fighting lung cancer, and the few resources we had have gone toward her treatments.

Today I have no way to cover my recovery costs, and my life depends on solidarity.

Every day that passes increases the risk of losing my leg and of this infection turning into cancer. I ask you, if it is within your possibilities, to help me overcome this battle.
