Urgent Veterinary Dental Treatment!

Hi everyone. My name is Rachael and I am trying to raise money to help pay for vet fees for my best furry friend, Louis. Louis is almost 12 years old and has been with me through all of the toughest journeys in my life. A few days ago, I had him at the vet clinic for a check-up and was told that he needs most of his teeth pulled out as he has a severe gum disease and his teeth are crumbling and breaking until they fall out. This makes it extremely hard for him to eat or pick up food/treats as it causes pain for him.

The vet has quoted us $1700 for the first round of surgery, however, she told me that there will likely be 2 and I will be looking at around $3000 for everything. This includes blood tests and overall health checks due to his age as well as all the additional costs to assist with the procedure. They told me this is non-negotiable and I have tried all avenues, including VetPay, Humm, ZipPay as well as Centrelink Advance Payments but have not been successful due to not currently working.

I am not sure if anyone will read this or even understand how much this little guy means to me and what we have gone through together, but I can't have him in pain or getting sick because I can't afford to get him the care he needs from vets. I left a violent relationship and became homeless as a result. Louis and I lived rough for the best part of 4.5 years. He has helped me get through depression and trauma, homelessness, grief and so much more. I can't imagine life without him and I hope I can raise this money to get his teeth fixed as soon as possible, so he can be the happy and bouncy boy he is again.

I know this is a lot to ask, and there are so many people raising funds for really good causes. This is a really good cause and I will be forever grateful if you can spare a few dollars to help Louis enjoy life without pain again.
