Urgent Vet Care Needed for Jellybean
Donation protected
Hi everyone. This is a fundraiser for my beautiful cat Jellybean.
I don’t know how to do this. I’ve never shared my personal information online. I’ve never asked such large amount of money in my life either. I don’t like asking for money but this situation is bigger than my pride.
I understand times are tough money wise not just for me, but for many others as well. I will try my chances here because it’s the only shot I got to help my baby boy. He’s not doing well. He’s been throwing up for the past week and now he’s developed diarrhea along with some wheezing before vomiting. At first I told myself it might’ve been sensitivity to food or just an upset stomach because he tends to eat fast and not chew his food. However with these new symptoms now I’m more than concerned. He’s still just a baby to me, he’s barely 3 years old.
I called the only low cost vet clinic in my area and unfortunately they don’t offer urgent care. I’ve contacted another vet clinic, I explained Jellybean’s situation, asked for an estimate and I was told would need 600 dollars.
To break down the costs:
$100 go towards checkup
$250 will go towards extensive blood tests
The remaining $250 will go towards fluids and medication he might need depending on the blood results.
I will keep on updating the page with proof and documentation if anything changes.
Here I’m trying my hardest to financially get help but I’ve been rejected by Pet CareCredit. I even tried applying for an emergency loan from my university but got rejected as well because it’s not directly tied to my education ;-; Last year was a really hard year for me and my family financially, we unfortunately were without a home for a couple of months. That situation completely depleted all the savings we had. Thankfully we now have a roof over our heads, but we are still trying to get up on our feet.
My hands are tied with this situation, spending nearly all week at university with a lot of course work plus worrying about what’s wrong with Jellybean has been very difficult for me. I can barely sleep nowadays.
To me Jellybean is more than just a cat, he has saved my life in countless ways and has bought so much happiness into my life. I rescued him from the streets ever since he was a baby kitten, and he’s been with me ever since. I don’t want to give up on him. I appreciate any help, dollar, shares, or prayers my Jellybean could get. Thank you for reading.
