Urgent Vet Care for Mochi's Health

1/13/24: Mochi is seemingly feeling better, we still have another week to get through that he is at a high risky of reblocking. My primary vet prescribed him special food by Hills and he will be getting gabapentin to help manage his stress. The new problem here lies the massive expense for his food and meds alone now. A 4lbs bag of food for him costs $37.99, and a 24 pack of wet food is $59.60. This is just food alone, and not just the cost of his new medication. I will continue to leave this crowd funding open to additionally support the cost for his food and medication. Thank you again to everyone who helped relieve some of the vet bills, you help has given me another day to spend with my best buddy, and another night he gets to sleep on my pillow.

UPDATE: mochi is home from the emergency vet. He went in for a urinary blockage. On our way to the vet he managed to unblock himself which is good, however it does not mean he is 100%. He is still at risk of developing another blockage over the course of the next few days. Blood work was done and his kidneys are okay, however the vet diagnosed him with Feline Interstitial Cystitis (FIC). This means he very well develop more blockages in the future. He is on meds now and being given a high water diet for the next few days and continued added water in his diet long term. We are hoping that today’s blockage does not return anytime soon. Thank you to everyone that has helped, I am still leaving this go fund me posted to assist in paying off the remaining balance of his vet bill and incase we have another emergency visit in the next few days.

Mochi, a Japanese Bobtail, is in need of vet care for his reoccurring urinary issues that today have presented themselves as severe.

If you know me then you know I have had Mochi for two years. He has been my rock through hard times. Little over a year ago I took him and my two other cats and left a very bad situation. Since then it has been me and my kitty trio, Mochi being my right hand man. Supporting three cats and living on my own has its tough moments but nonetheless I give everything I can for them, they are my best buddies. Recently Mochi has suffered many urinary problems resulting in a very necessary vet visit. Costs are currently unknown but just getting him in starts at $175. It is urgent. I care so much for this little guy, anything helps.
