Hi, my name is Sophia, and I’m raising money on behalf of my best friend Liz and her beloved dog, Hank.
Recently, Hank’s health has taken a serious turn for the worse. He has ingested a foreign object—likely fabric—that is now lodged in his lower intestine. The blockage has caused significant swelling, a sign that his intestines are severely obstructed. Hank was first taken to an emergency vet in Canonsburg, PA, where he was given subcutaneous fluids in an attempt to help him pass the object, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful. He was also given anti-nausea medication to manage his discomfort.
Despite these efforts, Hank’s condition remains critical. He has since been transferred to his primary vet in Johnstown for further care. At this point, Hank will need surgery to remove the obstruction, along with continuous monitoring and IV fluids to stabilize him. If left untreated, his condition will continue to worsen and could become fatal.
Currently, Hank is unable to eat or drink. He’s lethargic, experiencing tremors, and has been largely unresponsive since the incident. It’s heartbreaking to see him in this state, and urgent medical intervention is his only chance at recovery.
Liz and Hank share a bond that’s truly special. I have never met another person who loves their dog as deeply and unconditionally as Liz loves Hank. He is not just her pet, he’s her best friend, her companion, and her family.
We are asking for any support you can offer to help cover the costs of Hank’s emergency surgery and care. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help give Hank the fighting chance he needs to recover and come back home to Liz.
Thank you so much for your kindness, generosity, and support during this difficult time.
