Hello everyone,
I'm reaching out on behalf of a determined, compassionate, and resilient student at Howard University who is in urgent need of financial support. Due to personal reasons, they wish to remain anonymous, but their story deserves to be heard and uplifted.
This student is a senior majoring in Economics, just one semester away from graduating. As an international student from the Caribbean, his journey has been marked by academic excellence, unwavering dedication, and a deep sense of responsibility, both to his family and to his community.
As a passionate scholar who dreams of using economics to build systems of equity and justice. Throughout his time at Howard, he has faced extraordinary challenges. He has experienced being unhoused while continuing to study full-time. In addition to excelling academically, he's worked multiple jobs to support himself and to provide financial support for his disabled mother.
Despite the heavy demands of school, work, and caregiving, he has never wavered in his commitment to his goals. He's juggled multiple jobs, late nights, and countless challenges, all with quiet strength and hope.
Now, he is facing a final hurdle: in order to register for his last semester, he must pay off a past-due tuition balance. The total amount needed is $15,000.
With your support, we can ensure he doesn’t fall short after coming so far. Every contribution, no matter how small, will bring him one step closer to graduating and using his education to make meaningful change.
If you’re not in a position to give right now, simply sharing this message with your network would mean so much. Thank you for your generosity, your empathy, and your belief in this student’s journey.
With gratitude,
A friend and supporter
