Peach and Shaky are both volunteer favorites at East Valley shelter in Van Nuys / Los Angeles, CA. Both unfortunately ended up on the dreaded euthanasia list as the shelter system is over its capacity for care.
We have found a rescue for them out of state that already has a potential home lined up for Peach and is working on one for Shaky. Transport will leave this Saturday 1/10/26 already so we urgently need to raise the money for transport (payment is due upon pickup).
Both dogs are great with people and other dogs and will have a great life where they're going to.
Peach is a combination dog: shy and timid in her kennel and then an energetic, happy ball chasing, social pup outside. She's one of the longer stay dogs at the shelter, arrived last April, 2025. In playgroup she is social and tolerant of other dogs. She likes to mingle around. Peach is affectionate and enjoys pets and scratches. Loves hugs and playing catch me if you can.
Goofy but endearing, Shaky has a cadre of volunteers that adore him. At 14 months old, he looks to be a doberman mix. If you were to walk past his kennel, you will probably see him sitting calmly with his food bowl in his mouth! Clever boy! Shaky is affectionate and loves to hang out with his volunteer friends. He's playful and loves tennis balls almost as much as he loves treats. Shaky has great playgroup notes:
Push/pull play style / Social and playful.
Please help us save these two sweet dogs. Any amount no matter how big or small truly helps.
