I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help like this, but I’m out of options and my heart is breaking.

My sweet boy Boomer has torn his cruciate ligament and urgently needs TPLO surgery. Without this operation, he’ll be in pain every single day and will eventually lose the ability to walk properly. Watching him limp around, wanting to do the things he normally does but can’t and seeing him confused as to why he can’t chase the birds, play with his ball or jump up on the bed for cuddles has been so so heartbreaking.

He doesn’t understand what’s happening, he just wants to run and play again.

The surgery is incredibly expensive, and with everything going up in price lately rent, groceries, bills . We also have 40 days to move house as our landlord is selling.

I’ve been trying so hard to stay afloat, but now this… it’s more than I can handle alone. I’d do absolutely anything for my dog, but I simply can’t afford the $5,000+ cost on my own.

If you’ve ever had a pet you love with your whole heart, you know how hard this is. The anxiety I have been feeling, I just feel so helpless.

It has already cost $700+ in vet bills with X-rays, sedation and pain relief.
