Hi everyone,

I never thought I’d be in a position where I’d need to ask for help like this, currently sat here feel sick and embarrassed whilst typing this but a lot of people have suggested it but I’m currently dealing with severe dental pain from a tooth that urgently needs to be removed under general due to the crohns treatment I'm on due the high risk of necrosis(Google it).

Over the past few months the pain has become increasingly difficult to manage. It’s affecting my sleep, my ability to eat properly, to look after myself and my autistic son, my day-to-day life. I have looked at going private via finance or payment plans but this isnt an option for me sadley and Unfortunately, the cost of dental treatment is more than I can afford right now, and I need to have the tooth extracted as soon as possible to prevent the nfection speading further than it has (already down my jaw and neck) and turning to sepsis which is lifethreatening. I've been to a&e 3 times now and had it cut and drained twice 4 different types of antibiotics for 6 months but failing to work due to the medication im on it prevents the antibiotics from doing there job. So this is becoming a life threatening situation over something so small. So I need to go private but to have the first check up alone to tell them what I already know is £75 thats without the cost of anelstegia and surgery, I am at a loss I feel like giving up but I cant I have a beautiful 3 year old boy to fight for and get better for but I can no longer fight this on my own I need all the help I can get cause sadley the NHS are quite literally leaving me to rot on a waiting list even though ive been admitted twice to a&e still won't rush it

I have tried absolutely everything, private is all thats left.

Because live with Crohn’s disease, it makes infections much more dangerous for someone like me. Because of my condition, an untreated dental infection can spread more and lead to serious complications, including Sepsis, restricted breathing etc This makes getting the tooth removed quickly even more important for my health and safety. But more importantly so I can be a more present, happy and healthy mum for my son.

I’m asking for help to cover:

• The cost of the dental assessment

• The extraction procedure

• Any medication or follow-up treatment required
