I’m writing this with a shattered heart. Many of you know Hailey — she’s part of the soul of 3rd Coast. She cares for our rescue herd like they’re her own — because to her, they are.
But last night, Hailey and her 11-year-old son Alex experienced an unthinkable tragedy. Their beloved rescue dog, Zora — only five years old — was hit by a car. The driver didn’t even stop. Hailey and Alex heard the impact, ran outside, and found Zora injured and bleeding. They rushed her to the emergency vet where she is fighting for her life.
The road to recovery is going to be long and expensive as this vet requires the funds up front for treatment.
This comes just one week after we lost our beautiful Mustang Mattina… and just weeks after we lost two of our own beloved sanctuary dogs. We are tired. We are grieving. But we can’t lose Zora too.
Right now, our rescue herd is putting their needs aside to rally around Hailey, Alex, and sweet Zora. We are begging our village — if just a handful of people give $5, we can cover Zora’s emergency vet bill and help keep this incredible family afloat.
I’m not one to beg for prayers, but I am tonight. Please, say one for Zora. She is everything to them — and she needs a miracle. All donations are tex deductible and used for Zoras surgery and recovery at the hospital.
