If this place closes, many of the animals will not survive.

My name is Denisa, and today I’m writing this with a heavy heart and a deep sense of urgency.

I am raising funds for the Măriuța Animal Sanctuary, a place that has saved hundreds of abandoned, abused, and forgotten animals in Romania… and which is now on the brink of shutting down.

This is not an exaggeration.

This is not drama.

This is the truth.

If the sanctuary closes, many of the animals currently living there will face death.

They have nowhere else to go.

No other shelter can take them.

Most of them are elderly, sick, traumatized, or disabled — souls who would not survive on the streets.

Why I am doing this:

I’ve been following Măriuța for a long time.

I’ve seen the heartbreak, the rescues, the miracles… and the exhaustion behind the scenes.

Right now, the sanctuary is overwhelmed by:

• massive medical bills

• debts for food and supplies

• constant emergencies

• too many animals and too few resources

Everything is at a breaking point.

Everything is falling apart at once.

And the people running the sanctuary — who love these animals more than their own comfort — are barely holding on.

When I realized how close they are to collapsing, I knew I couldn’t stay silent.

So I’m here, asking for help on their behalf.

What will happen if we don’t act

If donations don’t come in soon, the shelter will be forced to close its doors.

And that means:

Dogs, cats, horses, donkeys — animals already suffering — might not make it.

They will lose their only home, their only chance, their only safety.

This is not a future I can accept.

And I hope you feel the same.
