Hi everyone,
It’s with a heavy heart that I share some difficult news. On June 11th, my mom, Anna, was diagnosed with Clear Cell Carcinoma of the Endometrium, a rare and aggressive form of endometrial cancer.
The good news is that it was caught early and is currently stage 1. However, due to the aggressive nature of this type of cancer, urgent surgery is required to remove it before it has a chance to spread.
As many of you know, my parents now live in Greece. While public healthcare is available there, the wait times are long—and unfortunately, time is not on our side. The earliest available date at a public hospital is several months away, but my mom needs to undergo a hysterectomy next week. The only way to make that happen is through a private hospital, which comes at a high cost.
The estimated cost for the surgery is around $10,000, and additional funds will be needed for chemotherapy and radiation treatments afterward.
My husband and I, along with the rest of our family, are doing everything we can to contribute financially. But we simply can’t cover all the expenses that are awaiting us on our own, and so we’re reaching out for help.
If you're able to contribute in any way—no amount is too small—it would mean the world to us. Even just sharing this fundraiser can make a difference.
Let’s help my mom fight this with everything she’s got.
