Hello, We are friends of “A.” – a young man who has been through more than anyone should ever experience.

A. came to Switzerland as a teenager, after escaping violent and traumatic experiences connected to the Poro Society, a powerful traditional secret group he was forcibly taken into at just 16 years old.

He survived ritual violence, psychological terror and threats no child should ever face.

For the past three years, he has been trying to rebuild his life here in Switzerland .

He found friends, hope, and for the first time a sense of safety.

But now everything is collapsing again.

A. recently received a negative asylum decision.

At the same time, he found out he urgently needs a medical surgery because of severe and worsening abdominal pain.

Instead of receiving support and stability, he is being told to return to the country he escaped from — a place where he is not safe and where he has no family, no protection and no medical care he can rely on.

A. is only 20 years old.

He is terrified, alone, and facing the possibility of being sent back into danger while also needing urgent medical help.
