Amarryllis is a sweet dog currently at the Pender County Animal Shelter, and she’s facing a heartbreaking challenge. She has a cranial cruciate ligament (CCL) tear in her right rear leg along with significant ligament damage, causing her pain every single day.

The shelter staff have been open about their limitations: they simply do not have the funds to cover the surgery Amarryllis desperately needs. Right now, she’s only being given doggy Advil to manage her pain, but that’s not a long-term or humane solution for a dog with a serious orthopedic injury.

Without intervention, Amarryllis’ quality of life will continue to decline, and her future becomes more uncertain with each passing day. This fundraiser is dedicated to giving Amarryllis a real chance at comfort and healing. The money raised will go directly toward her orthopedic surgery to repair the torn CCL, as well as the pre- and post-operative veterinary care she’ll need to recover. It will also help cover pain management, rehabilitation, and support for a rescue pull or foster placement so she can heal in a safe and loving environment.
