Help My Best Friend, Todd (aka Chiquito), Get the Surgery He Needs

My best friend, Todd—lovingly known as Chiquito—is in urgent need of surgery to help him breathe better. It breaks my heart to see him struggling, and while I’m doing everything I can, my own health issues and financial responsibilities have made it incredibly hard to cover the cost on my own.

This surgery is essential for Todd’s quality of life, and I’m humbly asking for any support you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or a kind word. Every bit truly helps bring him closer to the care he desperately needs. 

 Todd came into my life as a tiny 6-pound puppy, and he’s been my constant companion ever since. He’s overcome many health challenges, and I’ve always made sure to get him the care he needs whenever he’s in pain or discomfort. He’s not just my pet—he’s my best friend, my comfort dog, and my emotional support. 

 Earlier this year, I lost my sister, and Todd has been by my side through that heartbreaking time. He’s helped me cope with grief and reminded me that I’m not alone. I’m also a widow, and without Todd, I don’t know how I would get through the days. He means everything to me. Right now, Todd is facing two serious health issues. He needs surgery on his trachea because he struggles to breathe properly—I have to keep him near a fan just to help him get enough air. He also has a neck injury, possibly a pinched nerve or a dislocated disk, that limits his ability to move and causes him pain. I have to hand-feed him, help him to his water bowl, and reposition him constantly while he sleeps. He’s scared, he clings to me, and I can see how much he’s struggling. But he’s still fighting—and I want to fight for him, too. Unfortunately, I can’t afford the surgeries upfront, and it breaks my heart to watch him suffer. That’s why I’m reaching out for help.
