Meet Jackson, a 14-week-old (born 11/10/24) Goldendoodle mixed puppy who has had more challenges in his short life than most dogs do in a lifetime. He was surrendered by his previous owners who simply couldn't afford the $6,000 surgery he urgently needs for his prolapsed rectum.
Left with no options, they brought Jackson to Salem County Humane Society, a no-kill shelter, in the hope that he could get the help he desperately needed. Since arriving at the shelter, Jackson has already had three emergency room visits, adding an extra $3,500 in medical costs. He has had 2 surgeries for his prolapsed rectum and will need a third, more invasive surgery because the first two did not end up taking.Despite all of this, he remains a sweet, loving, and joyful puppy who adores cuddles, playing with kids, and spending time with other animals.
Salem County Humane Society is a non-profit, volunteer-run, no-kill animal shelter, so the medical costs for this amazing little puppy to become happy and healthy are exceeding what we will be able to pay.
Every donation - no matter how small - will make a big difference in helping Jackson get the care he needs. With your support, we can help him heal and bring him closer to his fur-ever home. Thank you for opening your heart to this special pup!!
