Support our cat Casper following surgery and post-op care
Don protégé
Hello everyone,
My name is Cassie and this fundraising is to help cover the costs of emergency surgery and related expenses for our beloved cat Casper. We My friends and loved ones know I am not one to ask for help, even less if it involves asking for monetary assistance, but I recently sustained an ankle fracture followed by surgery that left me in huge debt and Casper is now in need of immediate attention for the best chances of survival.
He is a 2 year old Maine Coon, undoubtedly the kindest and most adorable cat I’ve ever had. He vomited several times, lost his appetite and became lethargic out of the blue. After a couple days of noticing these symptoms and him not being his bubbly self, we rushed him to the ER. Following numerous examinations, Doctors concluded he had a bowel obstruction+small intestine perforation and required emergency surgery to resect the bowel and contain the sepsis, which he underwent on 5/28/25.
His stay at the hospital has had its ups and downs. He’s now more active and playful. On the other side, has had no appetite whatsoever so they have been feeding him through a nasogastric tube. Blood tests are a little bit concerning but these changes might be due to his surgery, and since he has not eaten anything by mouth, now 5/31/25 he is in need of an E-Tube where we will have to feed him temporarily while his body heals. This has upped the costs exponentially so I have decided to increase our goal from 8,000 to 13,000.
Casper stood by my side non-stop during the first few weeks of my own recovery, filling me with kisses and cuddles, and is only fair that I do my best to help him recover from this. I appreciate each and every one of you who read this far and if you can’t donate, please share. -Cassie
