Urgent Surgery Needed for Maximus's Recovery

My name is Krystle Aguilar and this is my cat Maximus. Maximus is the sweetest, most loving cat I have ever met. He’s more than a cat to me; he’s my best friend.

Unfortunately, Maximus has had a lot of health problems. In 2020, Maximus was diagnosed with IVDD. He was temporarily paralyzed for 3 months, unfortunately costing me over 3 grand at the time. Maximus did well up until this year. His right anal gland became infected back in June. Since then, it’s been drained 3 times, costing me over $600 per visit. The anal gland has now formed scar tissue at the exit, causing fluid to build up. This causes a huge bump to protrude on the outside of his butt, sometimes even affecting his walk due to pain.

If I were to leave it, it would rupture and cause severe issues, and cost me even more money due to the emergency situation. Unfortunately, the only option left is to remove his right anal gland through surgery. He is only 6 years old and despite these issues, he’s full of energy. It’s not his time to pass.

I am creating this GoFundMe in hopes that you can find it in your heart to help us during a rough time. Christmas is around the corner, we have a move at the end of the month, and Maximus's health problems have burnt through all of my savings. I know people wouldn’t spend this type of money on an animal, but he’s all I got. I have no choice but to ask for help. Please help Maximus with his health journey.
