This tiny sweet kitten was found outside wandering around by herself a couple months ago. It was discovered that she has an inguinal hernia (in the lower groin area). She has a large lump in the lower abdominal area. This causes nausea/vomiting and lethargy. We believe there is might also be bladder involvement due to her sometimes having trouble emptying her bladder.
She has also had bouts of vomiting. She is somewhat malnourished but also has a larger swollen belly, which is due to the hernia.
I have many other animals and fosters in my care, and I simply can't afford to pay out of pocket for surgery and vet visits.
She's very sweet and very small. I just want to help her, but I need help to do so.
Because it’s an inguinal hernia and not a simple umbilical hernia most spay/neuter clinics won’t perform the surgery while she’s under anesthesia like we initially hoped for.
The cost for X-rays and surgery will be between $1500-$2000 depending on the severity of the hernia.
