Help Keeva Get the Surgery She Desperately Needs

Keeva is my 7-year-old cuddlebug, best friend, and constant shadow. At 80 pounds, she’s my “weighted blanket” — always finding a way to snuggle in, whether I’m sitting, standing, or lying down. She loves playing with her dog brothers and sister, catching treats out of the air like a pro, and curling up next to me for temple rubs (a tradition that started the day I brought her home as a puppy, when she fell asleep on my chest).

A few days ago, I noticed Keeva struggling to go potty. I thought she might be constipated, so I rushed her to a weekend vet. The news was far worse — Keeva has bladder stones, and the vet explained that surgery is the only way to prevent dangerous blockages. She’ll also need to be on a special diet for life to keep them from returning.

After leaving the vet, Keeva still couldn’t urinate, so I took her to the ER. There, she painfully passed several stones — each the size of a pencil eraser — and was finally able to get some relief. Unfortunately, the danger isn’t over. There’s no way to predict when she might get blocked again, and without surgery, it could be life-threatening.

The surgery needs to happen as soon as possible. But between the vet visit and the ER bill, I no longer have the funds to cover it. The estimate from my vet is just under $2,300.

Keeva isn’t just a pet — she’s family. She has a gentle, goofy, loving soul that touches everyone she meets. Asking for help isn’t easy, but I can’t risk waiting to save up the money.
