Hi, my name is Andrew and I’m raising funds for my sweet 9-pound Chihuahua-Terrier mix, Fred who was the victim of a violent, unprovoked dog attack in the laundry room of our apartment building on August 27, 2025
While doing laundry with Fred (who was on a leash and wearing a harness), an unleashed pitbull ran in and viciously attacked him, biting him directly on the face. The result? Fred’s jaw was fractured in the attack, and he was left bleeding and in excruciating pain. I had to pull Fred from the dog’s mouth myself, while the other dog's owner stood by and did nothing to help.
This wasn’t just traumatic — it was life-threatening.
Fred was rushed to MASH Animal Hospital , where he underwent emergency treatment to stabilize his condition. He required major jaw surgery, including the placement of a metal plate to try to repair the fracture.
Since the attack, I’ve spent over $17,000 on Fred’s medical care — draining savings and maxing out every available resource — to give him a chance at healing.
But now, the situation has taken a turn: The metal plate failed and Fred needs another $3,500 surgery to remove the plate and prevent further complications.
Fred has been through so much pain. He didn’t ask for this, and he certainly didn’t deserve it. He’s a sweet, gentle little dog who was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time — and now his health and future are at risk again.
I’m humbly asking for your help to raise the $3,500 needed for this urgent surgery and post-op care.
What Your Support Will Cover:
* The second surgery to remove the failed metal plate
* Pain management and follow-up care during recovery
* Any related emergency veterinary expenses
ANYTHING you can donate, every bit goes directly toward Fred’s care. If you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this campaign with friends, family, or animal lovers.
Fred is family — and I just want to see him happy, healthy, and pain-free again.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
