Hi friends and family,

It’s difficult for me to write this as I am a person that doesn’t like asking for help. I find myself reaching out during a challenging time as my dad is in need of a critical surgery that will significantly improve his quality of life. This week I learned my father has a severe liver infection along with other organ complications. He urgently needs surgery, but the healthcare system in Costa Rica is not the best, and if he waits for his turn, his condition may worsen to the point where surgery will no longer be an option.

My father is an English teacher and makes $60 a day. He can’t afford private surgery, that would help correct the problem and give him his life back. I’m asking for help because I can’t do it by myself.

I was at a loss and didn’t know what to do.
