Urgent Surgery Needed for Buckee's Health

UPDATE: . Buckee is in surgery now 4/17/25. It took time to come up with funds but the goal had been met and I thank all donors from the bottom of my heart. Buckee and I appreciate you all. Thank you. I will post his post op pics during recovery later today.

Hi, my name is Julie and I'm raising funds to get my sons sweet 5 yr old chihuahua Buckee into surgery. We have had him since he was 3 months old. I rescued him for my son in Jan 2020. The bond between the two is like no other. My son's car was recently involved in a hit and run and while trying to come up with the $1000 deductible his dog started acting different which led us to the vet with more funds needed. He was straining to urinate and seems in pain, so we took him in, and they did x rays and a urinalysis and determined he has a cluster of bladder stones around his urethra and would need surgery to remove them. We were given no longer than a couple days to get him in but could be sooner if anything changes. I volunteer in dog rescue and help out with the homeless and their pets every day for the last couple of years making sure they have everything they need and have built relationships with these dogs and owners and now my son's dog is in need and now I'm unable to help. I feel horrible. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. If you would like to donate directly to the vet, you can do so as well. Low end estimate is $2000 and High end would be $2500.
