Urgent Surgery Needed for Beloved Shiloh
Donation protected
When Shiloh came into our lives, he was only 6 months old and he was so jumpy and excited as soon as he saw us. My daughter Miyah and I named him “Shiloh,” and it took a couple of days to figure out what we should name him. Over time, Shiloh became more than just our pet—he became our shadow, our protector, our joy, and part of our family.
He waited by the door every time we would come home, barked away anything that might be a threat with comic ferocity, and curled up beside Miyah every night. He was there when we laughed and when we cried. He was family.
One morning, Shiloh didn’t get up. His usual excitement was gone, replaced with a quietness and no movement. We rushed him to the vet, our hearts heavy with fear. The diagnosis came like a punch to the gut: two separate objects in the lower part of his stomach and at the end of his lower intestine. The vet’s voice was gentle but clear—without surgery, Shiloh wouldn’t make it. Our family is now so worried because we can’t let him go. Not like this.
We looked at Shiloh, lying there with those same soft eyes that had watched over us all these years. He had given us everything—unconditional love, protection, and endless memories. Now it was our turn.
The surgery would be expensive, and the vet said it would cost around $1200. There was no hesitation. We have to save Shiloh. We emptied savings, made calls, and we don’t have enough funds to pay for the surgery.
Shiloh needs to have surgery very soon or he wasn’t going to make it. Our family wasn’t prepared for this, and after much inquiry, we still need $1200 for the surgery. Anyone who is willing to help keep our pet Shiloh, our joy and love, with us will be in our hearts forever.
