Hi, this is Maya, co-founder and volunteer at Souly's Rescues, home to 99 stray cats in Beirut, Lebanon. Yesterday, we found this poor baby limping...someone had used a stick to chase the cats away from the spot where they were seeking shelter, and he was struck. His leg is badly broken and needs urgent surgery and metal plates to repair the bone.

This devastating injury came before we could save him. At barely four months old, Gigi was thrown out to survive in the freezing mountains, a place where no kitten should ever be. For a week, we’ve been trying to find him a home, knowing how dangerous it is for a house cat to survive out there, especially in an area where coyotes roam at night.

The surgery is scheduled for the day after tomorrow, and it will become much more complicated if we delay it, as the bone has already started to heal the wrong way.

The total cost for the X-rays and surgery is $550, not including transportation fees or the usual post-surgery expenses.

We have no emergency funds left — we’re already struggling to provide food for the 99 cats under our care, and we don’t have an open account at any hospital.

We’re pleading for help to cover the cost before it’s too late. Please, if you can, help us save him. Every dollar matters — it could mean the difference between pain and a second chance at life.
