Dear Friends of Hotel Amistad and Hotel Castillo Family,

We are reaching out to you during a difficult time for our team member, Ruth, who suffered a serious injury on Christmas Eve.

Ruth was attacked by an American Staffordshire dog, resulting in severe facial trauma that required 22 stitches to her face and jaw. She also lost a tooth in the attack. The physical and emotional impact has been significant.

Unfortunately, the wait to see a facial surgeon through the public healthcare system is over one year, with surgery potentially not scheduled until 2028. Ruth's injuries require urgent attention—multiple surgeries will be needed to repair damaged muscle tissue and address scarring from the attack.

We are accepting donations on Ruth's behalf to help her obtain private surgical care this year. Any contribution, no matter the size, will be deeply appreciated. All proceeds will go directly to Ruth for her medical treatment.

Les escribimos en un momento difícil para nuestra compañera de equipo, Ruth, quien sufrió una grave lesión en Nochebuena.

Ruth fue atacada por un perro American Staffordshire, lo que resultó en un trauma facial severo que requirió 22 puntos de sutura en su cara y mandíbula. También perdió un diente en el ataque. El impacto físico y emocional ha sido significativo.

Desafortunadamente, la espera para ver a un cirujano facial a través del sistema de salud pública es de más de un año, y la cirugía podría no programarse hasta el 2028. Las lesiones de Ruth requieren atención urgente—se necesitarán múltiples cirugías para reparar el tejido muscular dañado y tratar las cicatrices del ataque.
