Hi everyone,
I never expected to have to write about myself like this, but here we are. In 2018, I had breast augmentation surgery. Over the last few years, I began experiencing a wide range of undiagnosable health symptoms: rashes all over my body, cuts that would not heal, chronic fatigue, psoriasis, and Raynaud's syndrome in my hands, feet, and breasts.
On August 14, 2025, I experienced a crazy amount of pain and inflammation on the left side of my chest. I spent 9 hours in the ER and was referred to a surgeon for a more in-depth examination. They found that I have a capsular contracture in the left breast, accompanied by an implant rupture (confirmed via ultrasound) and a slow silicone leak. I am on weight restrictions at work per doctor's orders, so I have been working a reduced schedule since I am in too much pain to perform my regular duties.
I pay for healthcare monthly - yet my ultrasound on September 3rd was only partially covered, so I am already sitting on a bill for $583 for the initial ultrasound.
My hair is beginning to fall out, and the silicone leak is compromising my immune system, so I am catching every cold and am chronically exhausted.
I was told today that in order to finalize my surgery date, I need to pay a $1,000 deposit. That deposit will be applied to the final cost of $8,844.38 that will be due on the date of surgery. I was not approved for Care Credit at such a high amount, and with a reduced work schedule due to this injury, surgery feels virtually impossible.
Many friends told me to create this GoFundMe, and I am so sick of feeling sick. I am actively working and will be contributing to this surgery on my own, but I realistically cannot save enough to get this booked in a timely manner. Every day I am getting sicker, and the only solution is to figure this out.
Any and all funds will be used towards the surgical procedure.
