I want to begin by saying that I know without any doubt that our Lord is the great physician and ultimate healer. I trust in Him completely, and I am so grateful for the prayers, encouragement, and love that have been shown to me. I humbly ask for your continued prayers as I navigate yet another season.

At the same time, I need urgent practical help.

I never imagined I'd be in a position to ask for help like this, but right now I truly need it. As you well know, life has a way of throwing the unexpected at us. Tuesday was that day for me. I fell at home. My left shoulder is broken in three places and cannot be repaired. An injury that has turned everyday tasks into painful challenges. Urgent care confirmed the break Wednesday and referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon. Yesterday, the Ortho confirmed the severity of the fractures and recommends a shoulder replacement. As I write this, I have no use of my left arm and severe pain.

In order for the surgery to be scheduled, the doctor is requesting $29,000 upfront to be paid. If we can come up with the money, surgery could be scheduled for this Wednesday.

Complicating things, 13 years of primary caregiving, funeral expenses for both parents, my own early retirement due to back and hip issues, and another fall in 2023 in which I fractured my wrist (I am currently awaiting disability determination by SSA and unable to work) and resulted in plates and eight screws being inserted have all overwhelmed our limited resources and savings. I was just going to begin trying to work again part-time as the SSA determination may take another 5 months. We simply need help with the advance payment.

Even though we have excellent credit, we have tried to leverage several personal loan options, but since we own no property, we have been declined repeatedly. We rent our home. We are happy to repay a personal loan.

The current situation is simply overwhelming, and after many tears and prayer, I am humbly asking for help with:

* $29,000 upfront surgical costs

* PT and miscellaneous recovery expenses
