We’re reaching out for help during a really difficult time for our family. My sister is in need of surgery, but ongoing medical complications have made it impossible for her to afford the care she needs on her own.
Earlier this year, she had to undergo an unexpected gallbladder removal. While that surgery was necessary, the recovery came with complications that forced her to stop working. Since then, she’s been unemployed and struggling just to keep up with basic expenses, let alone prepare for another surgery.
In the midst of all of this, her significant other, Isaac, has been doing everything he can to support both of them financially. He’s taken on the full weight of the household expenses & a move to be closer to family so we can all help my sister through her medical challenges. Despite his hard work & insane amount of overtime hours being put in weekly, keeping up with regular bills, medical bills, and daily necessities has become increasingly difficult on a single income. They are doing their best, but the strain has made this situation even more overwhelming.
Now, her hernia has become a serious issue that requires medical attention but the surgery center is requiring her portion of the cost of surgery prior to scheduling. The pain and limitations are affecting her daily life, and delaying surgery could make things worse the longer they wait & save for it. Unfortunately, the medical costs — including surgery, recovery, and related expenses — are more than they can manage right now.

* Medical bills and follow-up care
* Basic living expenses during recovery
