Hi everyone,
This is my best friend Yuno. He's three years old and has been a healthy, happy boy over those years who has brought so much joy to my life. Out of the blue a week ago, I noticed him behaving strangely and took him to the vet where he had a general check up and bloodwork done. My world came crashing down when the vet got his results back and told me to bring him back immediately, where he was put on intensive IV fluid therapy due to significant azotemia (high levels of waste products in the blood) and had an abdominal ultrasound done to investigate his kidneys.
I spent thousands trying to do everything I could for him without a second thought. Despite fluid treatments and antibiotics, he showed no sign of improvement, and the vet was so worried they suggested I take him to see a specialist at the ER.
The ER has told me he needs subcutaneous ureteral bypass surgery urgently to have any shot at survival, and quoted $10,000-$15,000 for this. I've exhausted my funds entirely and have applied for $5,000 with CareCredit to cover what I've already spent, and have credit cards, etc. planned to cover some of the rest, but I am still significantly short of being able to pay off the rest and have no idea what to do.
I can't imagine life without my bubba and truly am at a last resort. If anyone would like to help me and Yuno in his fight, then I appreciate any help I can get. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
