Sweet potato had his falow up apt with a local vet and is recovering very well.
I can never thank every one enough. Thanks to all the amazing donations we were able to cover his surgery. We no longer need donations and I would love to incurabe any one still looking to donate to a worth cause to look into the pyreenes rescue. However I just stumbled on this group on Facebook book and they also seem to need help so they can continue helping wonderful dogs.
Sweet Potato and his siblings are the protectors of our farm. Sweet Potato became everyone's favorite due to his sweat loveable personality. He got his name cause when he was born almost exactly a year ago he looked like a fuzzy sweet potato.
Over the last year he has gained the love and admiration of every one who meets him. His siblings and all his other animal friends are lost with out him. He spends his days loving on sheep and people alike. Just his happy nature brightens everyone's day.
I came home Wednesday night to find our poor boy had badly injured his front leg. The vet feels the leg needs to be removed, I have managed to pay the $600 for his current care but he still needs another 4,500 for the surgery to remove his leg. I don't care that he won't be able to do his job as a livestock guardian anymore, we just don't want to lose this amazing love bug who brings so much joy into our lives. But I don't have $4,500. Please help save him.
Life has been relay hard for us over the last several years, rising cost of living and wages that just don't make rentals in our area affordable. My son loves this dog with all his heart. It's been a rough couple of years for him as well and I just don't know if I can watch his young heart break on more time. I can't imagen telling him we had to put down our dog because we couldn't afford the surgery.
Normally my pride would prevent me from asking for help from strangers like this. But frankly, I just don't know what else to do. We're not asking for miracles. But if anyone reading this has anything they can spare for this cause just know that you'll not only be saving the life of our dog, but you'll also be saving the life of our son's best friend. Please, we need a hero right now.
