Urgent brain surgery for Steph

Our dear friend, and fellow psychiatric nurse, Steph, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour on her pineal gland (deep in the centre of her brain). There are only four surgeons in the world who will operate on such a difficult to access tumour. Thankfully, world renowned neurosurgeon, Professor Charlie Teo, has agreed to take on Steph’s surgery. But of course, there is a significant cost to such an extraordinarily difficult procedure.

Steph is a single mum of two young kids, one of whom has a chronic medical condition.  And because of the impact of the tumour, Steph is currently unable to work and needs support to care for her kids.

It is because of these exceptional circumstances, we are hoping to raise the full amount for her surgery, $90,000, so she may undergo the procedure in a timely manner before this life threatening  tumour causes any more devastating side effects.
