The Smiths (Andrew, Kristina, Benson, Lincoln, and Leo) have a Red Golden Retriever named Piper that is suffering from a medical emergency.

Piper has what is believed to be an abscess on the right side of her face that is causing substantial swelling, which is making it hard for her to see, eat, sleep, and breathe.

The Smiths are doing what is best for Piper and taking her in for surgery and a CT scan to make sure the doctors can find the exact cause of the issue so it doesn't happen again.

Between the vet bills and the surgery, it is going to cost upwards of 5000 dollars.

I know this is a financial blow for them, but it's a burden they are willing to take for their family and their dog.

Hopefully, we as a community can help lessen the burden for them this holiday season.
