Help Us Save Lucy – Our Girl Deserves a Chance

Hi friends,

This is one of the hardest things we’ve ever had to write, but we’re posting this because we truly don’t know what else to do. Our sweet Lucy has been a part of our family for over 10 years. She’s not just a pet—she’s our heart, our home, our steady companion through everything life has thrown our way. She’s been there through every high and low, always offering love without asking for anything in return.

Now she needs us more than ever.

Lucy has been fighting pancreatitis, and while we’ve done everything we can—countless vet visits, tests, and months of medication—the meds that once helped her are now making her even sicker. Her vet has recommended radioactive treatment that could finally give her relief, but it comes with a $3,000 price tag, on top of the $1,000 we were just quoted for her latest visit. It’s breaking our hearts to even write this, but we’re at a place where I can’t keep up financially.

We’ve spent nearly $15,000 in the past year alone trying to keep her well. We’ve been doing everything we can to stay afloat—juggling vet costs, and keeping up with our own bills—and we’re exhausted.

We never imagined asking for help like this, but Lucy’s life is worth fighting for. She’s still full of love, and still looking at us with those eyes that say, “I’m not done yet.” We just want to give her the chance she deserves.
