My 3-month-old Shorkie, Miso, was recently in a terrible accident and suffered a broken femur near his hip. He is in a lot of pain, and every movement causes him to cry. As a puppy, he should be running, playing, and enjoying life—but instead, he’s struggling just to be comfortable.

This has been incredibly hard on my family. My daughter is especially heartbroken seeing Miso like this, and our whole household has been under a lot of stress trying to figure out how to help him while watching him in pain.

I rushed him to the emergency vet, where they told me he needs urgent surgery to repair the fracture. Because he is still growing, time is critical—the longer I wait, the worse the injury can become and it could affect how his leg heals permanently. Acting quickly gives him the best chance at a full recovery and avoiding long-term complications or even amputation.

The cost of the surgery is more than I can afford right now. I’ve already tried applying for financing options like CareCredit and Scratchpay, but unfortunately, I was not approved. I am doing everything I can, but I can’t do this alone.

Miso is more than just a pet—he’s family. He’s loving, playful, and brings so much joy into our lives. Seeing him in pain and not being able to fix it is heartbreaking.
