We're CatSAR (Cat Search & Rescue) Squamish, a local volunteer group helping cats & their guardians in our community. One of the kitties we've helped rescue, is a sweetheart named Miso!

Miso was the victim of a violent attack on May 19th, 2025, that left him with a dislocated leg, skinned tail, and multiple injuries. He was rushed to the Vet for emergency treatment, which alone cost $1076.96.

This young cat now faces an urgent and expensive surgery to repair his leg and save his mobility. While under anesthesia, he will also be neutered to prevent future complications and further risk.

Miso's guardians love him deeply, and are doing everything they can to keep him comfortable. But the cost of surgery, medications, and aftercare is overwhelming.

We know his life is worth fighting for, but we can’t do this alone—we need your help. Will you give Miso a second chance at a safe, pain-free life?

Update: May 28th, 2025

On Tuesday, May 27th, Miso went for a follow up at Alpenlofts Veterinary Hospital in Squamish. Unfortunately, Miso's injuries had taken a turn for the worse, and he needed to have his leg and part of his tail amputated.

Alpenlofts Vet Staff were so kind & thoughtful to give Miso a discount for his amputation and neuter surgical procedures, all done at the same time! Because of that, and him no longer needing reconstructive surgery, the total of Miso's Vet expenses on this day, was $ 2470.12!

Combined with his initial emergency treatment & follow up, Miso's total expenses have been

$ 3,845.55 so far.

Miso is now home resting and recovering.

We wish him comfort & strength to endure the challenges ahead of him, as he learns to adjust to life with only 3 legs & a partial tail.

We're so thankful that Miso survived this traumatic ordeal! And we're most grateful for the generosity of donors like you, and the support you've shown him & his family.
