We are reaching out because we’re facing challenges that have placed a heavy weight on our shoulders—emotionally, financially, and in every part of our daily lives. My Niece Michelle was the victim of a violent robbery in which she was held at gunpoint and shot in the face. The bullet entered through her jaw and exited into her neck, where it remains lodged. She is currently in the hospital fighting to recover from this traumatic and life-altering injury.

Doctors have informed our family that Michelle urgently needs surgery to remove the bullet and repair the damage. Unfortunately, we were just told that her insurance will not cover the procedure. This surgery cannot be delayed much longer due to serious skin and tissue complications that could lead to infection and further harm.

Michelle has already endured unimaginable pain — physically and emotionally. Now, our family is facing the overwhelming financial burden of a critical surgery that she cannot go without.
