Help Kirk Get Life-Saving Brain Aneurysm Surgery

Hello, we are fundraising for my brother-in-law, Kirk Jason Acapulco. Kirk urgently needs surgery for a brain aneurysm that developed during his years-long battle with a brain AVM (arteriovenous malformation).

From AVM to Aneurysm

Many of you may remember that four years ago we created a GoFundMe, Help Kirk kick his AVM to the curb, for Kirk's 3rd Gamma Knife treatment for his brain AVM, in which you can read the history of Kirk's journey. Thanks to your generosity, he was able to undergo those procedures and continue fighting. We are forever grateful!

Three times, Kirk underwent a Gamma Knife procedure, each one giving us hope that he would finally be safe from further complications.

In the years since the third Gamma Knife treatment, Kirk has continued to be a loving father, supportive husband, and kept working to support his family. But the journey to heal has been one struggle after another, as he battled repeatedly with seizures, loss of consciousness, weakness, and weeks-long stays in the hospital. Each episode took an ever-increasing toll on Kirk. Most recently, Kirk has been experiencing mobility issues on his right side, now requiring a wheelchair, and communication difficulties.

We have received heartbreaking news: Kirk's doctors indicate he has a brain aneurysm requiring surgery. The surgery cost is over $25,000, an amount far beyond what our family can manage on our own, especially after years of medical expenses and ongoing follow-up care. But Kirk needs this surgery to survive and to move toward healing.
