Kaia, our 11 week old Australian Shepherd puppy, and I were attacked by an out of control Pitbull on February 25th. She was defenseless and so was I, as the dog lunged out of his owners hands on leash and ran straight towards us in front of our apartment. I grabbed her and tried to raise her away from him, but unfortunately he jumped onto us and was biting aggressively. He got ahold of her back right leg as I was holding her as high as I could, breaking two of her leg bones and puncturing multiple wounds into her legs. My poor girl was evaluated and needs a surgery as soon as possible, and while the owners of the Pitbull should be responsible for all of the medical expenses, but they are pushing for less and less for our new baby. Please help us if you can to support initial fees and urgent medical expenses for Kaia’s leg surgery and treatment so she can thrive the way she deserves. ❤️‍
