Sous Chef’s Daughter Needs Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
We’re the team at Queen's English, with Juan's permission, we are reaching out to ask for your help for someone very close to our hearts — Elizabeth Urias, the 24-year-old daughter of our amazing AM Sous Chef, Juan Urias. For those of you who knows Juan, you already know the kind, hard working, respectful and loving individual that he is.
Elizabeth has been battling severe diabetes for years. Recently, her condition drastically worsened; she is now battling constant abdominal pain, severe vomiting and severe cramping; currently doctors cannot determined the cause of her suffering but they are highly suspecting pancreatic cancer (waiting on diagnosis). She urgently needs life-saving surgery and exploratory surgery for her pancreas.
After two months in hospital in Honduras and in a desperate effort to find better care, Eliza made a 15-hour drive from Honduras to El Salvador. She’s now been in and out of hospitals for over two and a half months, and the medical system there requires families to pay out-of-pocket for everything: surgery, medication, even basic hospital care.
Juan shows up every day with incredible work ethic, passion, and kindness; needless to say, he is family to us — and right now, his family needs our help.
We’re raising $20,000 to help cover:
-Elizabeth’s life saving surgery and medical procedures
-Hospital bills and ongoing treatment
-Medication and recovery support
-Transportation back home to Honduras
Anything you can give — even a small amount — would mean the world to Elizabeth, Juan, their family, and to us. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this link with your friends and community.
Let’s help Eliza get the care she needs. From all of us at Queen's English — thank you so much.
With gratitude,
Sarah, Henji and the QE Family
