Hi friends, my wife and I run a dog rescue program down in Colombia, South America, where we take stray dogs off the streets and give them a home on our finca.

Our newest addition to our home is this dog, named Chikona, who followed us for three days on the streets and won our hearts. We also rescued her brother, too. Unfortunately, she was just run over by a car that was delivering food supplies to our finca and compound fractured her femur. She is going into surgery as I write this.

Just updated*** the vet just told us that her intestines are in her thorax and it’s a much more serious situation.

As you can imagine, it’s not cheap to care for 14 dogs, so anything you can contribute would be amazing. Thank you!
