Hey everyone my name is Cristian and unfortunately one of my cats, Baby, developed a huge cancerous mass under her armpit. It’s in quite an unlucky area from what the Vet told us as there are very important veins that run under there amongst other organs. The original proposition the Vet gave us was to pay for 1500$ in testing to see if she would even be operable and then referred to hopefully an advanced specialist out of town and they think it would cost at least 5000$.
They also offered us a “Hail Mary” option which would be very minimal testing and just hoping they could go in and be as careful as one can be to try and cut out as much of the mass. Since the original option is extremely expensive for us the next best thing would be to try and save her life with the hail mail surgery. For full transparency there is a possibility she can pass during the surgery as the location of the mass is extremely problematic, but it truly is her only option now.
Now a bit about my precious cat. She is a black sheep in all honesty. She is very scared of humans and just the world in general. There are only two beings whom she truly loves and those are her parents who are also in my care and it’s the only place in the whole world I can think of where she truly belongs and could call a home. She is bonded to them and our world would honestly reject a cat whose so defensive and scared of humans. It’s very unfortunate and heartbreaking to see the short straws she pulled in life and now we find out she has cancer and it will end her life if she doesn’t receive medical attention soon. She is only roughly 7 years old so she’s also the youngest in the family which makes it worse.
I know not everyone can afford to donate and that is okay, I would just like to kindly ask for those of you who can to consider donating to her surgery fund. The goal is set to 2000$ to pay for the surgery and the medications that come after the surgery if it’s successful, and incase of demise, to help pay for her cremation. In any case of overwhelming support the extra funds would be used to pay for the specialists out of town so the 5000$ option but that is a long shot.
Any funds leftover will be donated to another animal in need with receipts of every transaction posted here as updates or on my social media account. As an example if we happen to raise more than the goal but not quite enough to pay for a specialist the rest will be donated to another animal in need with receipts of that posted as well.
I appreciate you for reading this as I know it’s quite a bit of information but I do Believe in full transparency, thank you for your time.
